And last but not least, do you want to know if your hard drive’s performance is at its peek? If you answered “Yes” to all these questions, then I present to you the H.D.S. Hungary-developed application Hard Disk Sentinel.

Hard Disk Sentinel is a disk monitoring and analysis tool. This application has been developed with a clear goal in mind: to test, diagnose and repair disk drive problems, to report and display disk health, performance and failures.

Here is the functionality you can expect to get from Hard Disk Sentinel:
- View the disk’s performance
- View the disk’s health
- View the disk’s current temperature, average temperature, and maximum temperature.

- View the amount of free disk space

You must know that there are several Hard Disk Sentinel versions out there: Free, Standard (this is the version we’ve reviewed here), Professional, and Enterprise. The Free edition can be used free of charge to evaluate Hard Disk Sentinel and test its functionality; this version does not cost a thing. All the other versions cost money. The number of features increases as you go up the range, meaning that the Enterprise version is feature-complete.

Installation - Hard Disk Sentinel provides support for pretty much all Windows versions. This includes XP, Vista and Windows 7.
Limitations – if you go with the Free version, you will have access to a limited amount of features. If you go with the Standard version (simply called Hard Disk Sentinel) access to some features is limited until you get a license.
